What is the cap for individual purchases on Welsh Government procurement cards before approval is required from a senior official?
Ateb
Atebwyd gan First Minister (Eluned Morgan)
All Welsh Government Procurement cards have an individual transaction limit within a range of £250 - £20,000 and a monthly spend limit within a range of £500 - £25,000. Transactions exceeding the limits are automatically declined.
Before using a Welsh Government procurement card, individual card holders must follow Welsh Government Procurement and T&S policies and attain additional approvals from a senior officer as required under those policies.
In addition, all individual transactions are retrospectively reviewed and approved monthly by a transaction approver, who is a senior grade to the cardholder, or if this is not possible, by the Head of Finance.
