What consideration has the Welsh Government given to concerns that beavers may have been released illegally at Park in the Past, in Hope, Flintshire?
Ateb
Atebwyd gan Deputy First Minister and Cabinet Secretary for Climate Change and Rural Affairs
It is an offence in Wales under section 14 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 to release a beaver into an enclosure or the wild, except under licence from Natural Resources Wales.
My officials will continue to work closely with Natural Resources Wales to determine the next steps for the future of beavers in Wales.
