What alternative measures is the Welsh Government considering to address traffic congestion across the Menai Strait, following the cancellation of the third Menai crossing project?

Atebwyd gan Cabinet Secretary for Transport and North Wales
We are not ruling rule out a third crossing of the Menai Straits in the future, but we believe more could be done in the short to medium term to improve the resilience of the existing crossings.
The North Wales Transport Commission report into improving the Menai Crossings resilience made 16 specific recommendations. The first six recommendations were identified as priority and the feasibility work on these is now nearing completion. This includes improving junctions and carriageway alignments, introducing wind deflectors to Britannia Bridge and enhancements for walking, wheeling and cycling. The North Wales Regional Transport Plan is also proposing to reduce congestion through public transport interventions and partnership working with Mon a Menai employers for future implementation.
We’re now considering conclusions of this work and we’ll be able to decide and announce details of the preferred options and the next stages of development later this summer.
