Will the Cabinet Secretary provide an update on their discussions with the UK Government about securing funding for the north Wales metro?

Atebwyd gan Cabinet Secretary for Transport and North Wales
On 22 May I announced an ambitious vision to deliver an integrated, high-frequency public transport network for North Wales, with frequent metro services at its heart. The Welsh Government has already committed an additional investment of over £13m this financial year to begin delivery immediately and will draw on other funding streams to make this a reality.
Discussions are continuing with UK Government, who share our ambition to achieve the best results possible for Wales and drive forward the vision. Network North Wales will connect people to a range of well-paid jobs across North Wales, thousands of which will be created by the UK Government’s Wrexham and Flintshire Investment Zone and Freeport in Anglesey.
