Atebwyd gan Cabinet Secretary for Transport and North Wales
The £445 million rail investment is a welcome step forward for Wales. It represents the start of a new model of collaboration and agreement of infrastructure priorities through the joint UK and Welsh Government Wales Rail Board and demonstrates a growing commitment to support Welsh priorities through joint decision-making. Combined with the proposals for Rail Reform, including the establishment of a dedicated Wales and Borders business unit, we will work in partnership to build on this progress already made to deliver a bright new era for the rail industry in Wales.
