I have undertaken a targeted engagement on legislative amendments to protect European beavers in Wales, which closed on 14 March. An update will be provided following consideration of the responses.
Our approach aims to support their return as a native species while ensuring appropriate protection and regulation is in place to manage impacts and deliver biodiversity and ecosystems benefits.
