How many schools have received capital investment, broken down by local authority for each of the last 5 years?
Ateb
Atebwyd gan Cabinet Secretary for Education
The Sustainable Communities for Learning programme (formerly 21st Century Schools and Colleges) has invested £1,347,098,226 in schools throughout Wales over the last 5 years. A breakdown of this capital spend by local authority is provided in Table 1 overleaf.
Many of our annual capital grant allocations associated with the wider Programme, such as Community Focused schools, Additional Learning Needs and Capital Repairs and Maintenance are allocated to local authorities to use flexibly, as they are best placed to understand the priorities of their local education estate. It is therefore not possible to provide an accurate number of schools that have received Welsh Government capital grant funding across the entire programme.
