The Women’s Health Plan recognises the different pattern of need and presentation among women based on ethnicity and the need for services to respond to these differences.
Health services follow NHS national symptom-based referral guidance to ensure anyone presenting with symptoms are referred for appropriate investigations. To support this, Health Education and Improvement Wales has rolled out educational resources to GP practices to support referral decisions.
