What is the Welsh Government's latest assessment of the presence of critical raw materials deposits in Wales?
Ateb
Atebwyd gan Cabinet Secretary for Economy, Energy and Planning
Critical Raw Material (CRM) prospectivity in the UK was undertaken by the British Geological Survey (BGS) in 2023.
The report notes that areas in north-west Wales and Pembrokeshire are prospective for several CRMs and are a priority for further geological investigations.
It is my understanding that the UK Government will publish a new Critical Minerals Strategy this year.
