What support is the Welsh Government providing to self-catering properties who are unable to reach the 182 day rule?
Ateb
Atebwyd gan Cabinet Secretary for Economy, Energy and Planning
The Welsh Government recognises the important role that self-catering accommodation plays in supporting tourism and local economies across Wales. Visit Wales and Business Wales have programmes in place that can support businesses such as the Tourism and Hospitality Flexible Skills Programme, regional engagement, quality assurance scheme, advice and training.
We are currently consulting on a small number of proposed refinements to the treatment of self-catering properties for local tax purposes. These proposals respond to matters raised by the self-catering sector during implementation of the new letting criteria.
