A detailed estimate of the resources that may be released for frontline investment through the NHS Wales Decarbonisation Strategic Delivery Plan 2025–2030 is not available, though work is underway through the NHS Wales Value & Sustainability Board to enable NHS Wales to maximise value through the spread and scale of decarbonisation projects. Individual decarbonisation projects have already demonstrated co-benefits, for example the solar farm development at Morriston Hospital has saved more than £3m already in energy costs.
