Atebwyd gan Cabinet Secretary for Social Justice, Trefnydd and Chief Whip
The Welsh Government is committed to upholding and embedding the principles of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women in Wales.
Towards this commitment, the independent Legislative Options Working Group (LOWG) is undertaking detailed, article-by-article analysis of both treaties to identify workable options for Wales. I am satisfied that this detailed legal work is an essential basis for ensuring that any future rights protections can withstand constitutional and legal scrutiny and work in practice for our devolved public services.
