How is the Welsh Government supporting small self-catering accommodations that were unable to reach the 182 day threshold with their increased council tax bill?

Atebwyd gan Cabinet Secretary for Finance and Welsh Language
We have recently consulted on proposals to support providers of self-catering accommodation that have been unable to meet the 182 day threshold. This includes encouraging local authorities to apply a grace period at the standard rate of council tax for a period of 12 months, before any premium is implemented. We are currently reviewing the feedback received during the consultation process including views on the introduction of a grace period.
The responsibility for council tax collection lies with local authorities. These authorities also retain local discretion in setting their own approaches to collection, allowing them to respond flexibly to the circumstances of self-catering accommodation providers within their areas.
