Ateb
Atebwyd gan Cabinet Secretary for Health and Social Care
Since April 2022, in line with the Planned Care Recovery Plan, long waits for gynaecology treatment have fallen by 94%.
This has been achieved through a combination of Welsh Government financial support and clinical guidance about the transformation of services, including:
• The establishment of and support from the Gynaecology Clinical Implementation Network (CIN) in the Planned Care Programme
• The delivery of actions in the Women’s Health Plan
• The development of national pathways and establishment of the new pathfinder women’s health hubs.
The number of pathways waiting more than 104 weeks has fallen from 3,934 at the end of March 2022 to 243 at the end of November 2025.
