What assessment has the Welsh Government made of the economic impact of the current 10 per cent commission fee on park home sellers, and does the Government intend to bring this commission system to an end?

Atebwyd gan Cabinet Secretary for Housing and Local Government
The sale of park homes in Wales is governed by the Mobile Homes (Wales) Act 2013 and the 10 per cent commission rate remains in place under this legislation. A consultation exercise was undertaken in 2017 on potential changes to the commission rate and additional analytical work was initiated following the consultation. This work was disrupted with resources being directed towards urgent priorities following the Covid-19 pandemic, however we remain clear that any future consideration of the commission rate requires robust economic evidence and would need to be assessed as part of wider sector reform.
