What assessment has the Cabinet Secretary made of the amount of money paid by Welsh exporters in fees to US customs based on what the Learning Resources, inc. V. Trump case found to be illegal tariffs?
Ateb
Atebwyd gan Cabinet Secretary for Economy, Energy and Planning
No assessment has been made of the amount of money paid by Welsh exporters to US customs as only importers of record who have directly paid tariffs under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act 1977 would have been charged, not exporters directly.
As only importers of record may be eligible for refunds, the refund process will be a domestic and legal matter for the United States.
