What steps is the Cabinet Secretary taking with Cardiff Bay Harbour Authority to promote Cardiff Bay as a terminal for cruise ships?

Atebwyd gan Cabinet Secretary for Economy, Energy and Planning
Cruise Wales works in close partnership with ABP Port Authority to promote Cardiff as an attractive cruise destination. This collaboration forms part of a wider strategic effort to strengthen Wales’ profile within the international cruise market. Cardiff Port is able to accommodate small to medium sized vessels. As a locked based port, access is influenced by tidal and weather conditions; however, the Port remains well positioned to welcome a range of luxury and expedition style cruise ships.
Through targeted marketing activity, including representation at major industry events such as Seatrade Global, Seatrade Med, and Seatrade Europe, as well as the organisation of familiarisation visits for cruise executives, Cruise Wales has successfully secured calls from operators including Silverseas, Hebridean, Ocean Odyssey, and Windstar.
