What urgent discussions is the Welsh Government having with planning authorities to ensure that developments can go ahead, following ongoing concerns in relation to river nitrates?
Ateb
Atebwyd gan Cabinet Minister for Local Government, Housing and Planning (Siân Gwenllian)
Planning guidance has been issued; including a clarification note on “Applying the Tests of Soundness to Local Development Plans (LDPs) where additional nutrients may impact on Special Areas of Conservation (SACs)”.
Officials continue to engage with local authorities affected by nutrient issues to provide support, and monitor and assess how guidance is being implemented to ensure that developments can go ahead.
