Atebwyd gan Cabinet Minister for Health and Care (Mabon ap Gwynfor)
Too many people are waiting too long for NHS treatment, and improving waiting times is a priority.
We are taking forward action to strengthen delivery and improve accountability across NHS Wales, including in ophthalmology. This includes reducing waiting times, improving follow-up care, strengthening workforce capacity, and addressing variation between health boards.
Ophthalmology remains a priority within NHS performance arrangements, and we will continue to work with NHS Wales to deliver sustained improvement.
