What action is the Cabinet Minister taking to improve the condition of eyecare services in light of long delays with time-sensitive sight-threatening conditions and discrepancies between health boards?
Ateb
Atebwyd gan Cabinet Minister for Health and Care (Mabon ap Gwynfor)
We recognise the pressures facing NHS services, including eye care, and are taking action to improve access and patient outcomes.
Work is focused on reducing waiting times, improving pathways for time-sensitive conditions, and strengthening coordination across services. This includes prioritising patients at greatest clinical risk and improving consistency between health boards.
We will continue to work with NHS partners to ensure timely access to care.
