What is the Welsh Government doing to improve rail services to and from Welsh ports?
Ateb
Atebwyd gan Deputy Minister for Transport (Mark Hooper)
High quality rail connections to our ports are important for providing sustainable transport options for passengers. Transport for Wales have already improved rail connectivity at Holyhead with the extension of the hourly service direct service to Manchester Airport, enabling passengers across North Wales and Northern Western England to have improved direct rail connectivity to the port. Transport for Wales are also considering options for increasing the frequency of services on the Pembroke Dock line and Milford Haven alongside the Swansea Bay and West Wales Metro proposals.
