Will the Cabinet Minister outline the reasons for the delay of the opening of the Llandudno Orthopedic Unit?

The opening of the North Wales Surgical Centre at Llandudno hospital has been delayed as set out in my reply to WQ98543. A range of factors have contributed to the delays in the centre treating patients, but I understand that the scheme is now close to completion. The outstanding works are around the formal commissioning of equipment and infrastructure prior to patients being seen.
My officials have confirmed that there will be a lessons learned review undertaken once the centre is operational to establish and understand the reasons behind the delays encountered.
