What proportion of the Cabinet Minister's departmental budget is allocated to civil service delivery versus constitutional policy development?
Ateb
Atebwyd gan Cabinet Minister for Government Effectiveness & the Constitution (Dafydd Trystan Davies)
The budget I am responsible for is not split on a simple basis between civil service delivery and constitutional work. This reflects that all parts of the Welsh Government are focused on delivery and on ensuring that policy development, constitutional work and corporate functions support better outcomes for people and public services across Wales.
Expenditure is managed across a range of integrated programme, staffing and corporate support lines that contribute to both operational delivery and policy functions. Detailed allocations are set out within the Welsh Government’s annual Budget and Main Expenditure Group (MEG) arrangements, rather than by individual ministerial function.
