What steps is the Welsh Government taking to ensure that the All Wales Cardiology and Radiology Consumables Framework for 2027 does not discourage the adoption of innovative cardiology technologies where there is clinical evidence that they improve patient outcomes or support service efficiency?
Ateb
Atebwyd gan Cabinet Minister for Health and Care (Mabon ap Gwynfor)
The All-Wales Cardiology and Radiology Consumables Framework is being procured by the NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership on behalf of health boards in Wales. If the Framework is over £1 million, it will be submitted to the Welsh Government for approval if it is a LHB contract. At this time, I am unable to comment further as this is an ongoing NHS procurement process and I cannot prejudice its outcome or any subsequent Welsh Government decision making process.
