How is the Welsh Government learning from the Independent Inquiry into White Working Class Educational Outcomes In England, to ensure white working class children have better educational outcomes in Wales?
Ateb
Atebwyd gan Cabinet Minister for Education and the Welsh Language (Anna Brychan)
We are committed to tackling the barriers to attainment faced by learners experiencing poverty, to develop an equitable and inclusive education system for all learners, regardless of their background.
While we note developments in England, including the Independent Inquiry into White Working Class Educational Outcomes and will study the findings, our approach in Wales is to address the underlying drivers of inequity in education, particularly socio-economic disadvantage, which evidence shows cuts across different groups of learners, including white working-class children.
