Will the Cabinet Minister provide an update regarding the vacant National Clinical Lead for Musculoskeletal (MSK) Health role?

National clinical leadership arrangements for musculoskeletal (MSK) health are an operational matter for NHS Wales Performance and Improvement.
I understand that NHS Wales Performance and Improvement is currently reviewing how it can maximise the impact of its clinical networks and is considering the most appropriate arrangements for future national clinical leadership in this area and others.
While this review is underway, the National MSK Strategic Clinical Network continues to make good progress in delivering its work programme, including the development of national service specifications and work to support prevention, early intervention and more consistent services across Wales. I recognise the importance of strong clinical leadership and welcome the Network’s continued contribution to improving MSK services and outcomes.
