Will the Cabinet Minister provide an update on the Welsh Government's Wales-wide skills audit?
Ateb
Atebwyd gan Deputy Minister for Skills and Tertiary Education (Cefin Campbell)
I announced on 11 June that a comprehensive skills audit is under way.
The work is bringing together existing evidence, data and stakeholder insight to assess how skills supply aligns with current and projected demand, including areas where shortages or emerging opportunities are most evident.
The audit will support long-term planning by providing a clearer understanding of current and future workforce needs across Wales.
Early findings from the audit will help inform the Future Skills Summit planned in October, bringing together employers, education and training providers, learners and policymakers to help shape the next phase of development.
We plan to publish the full audit findings in spring 2027.
