What funding is the Welsh Government allocating to improve the accessibility of Wales's cultural and heritage sites?
Ateb
Atebwyd gan Trefnydd, Chief Whip and Cabinet Minister for Culture and Sport (Heledd Fychan)
Our capital grants support local cultural organisations to improve accessibility across museums, libraries and archives in Wales. Accessibility is a key consideration of our major capital projects.
We have provided over £1.6 million in 2026-27 to support the local culture sector in delivering non-core activities that enhance accessibility. This funding will increase community engagement and participation in cultural activities at local and regional levels, helping more people to access and benefit from Wales's rich cultural and heritage offer.
Ensuring that culture is accessible to all is a priority for this government.
