Question
What additional support is the Welsh Government planning for holiday home letting businesses that have been adversely impacted by coronavirus restrictions and have no employees?
Answer
Answered by First Minister (Mark Drakeford)
Since the start of the pandemic, the Welsh Government has provided more than £2bn of financial support to tens of thousands of businesses across Wales to help them through the pandemic. However, this continues to be a difficult time for many businesses.
The Economic Resilience Fund continues to provide support to businesses; further details are available at: https://businesswales.gov.wales/coronavirus-advice/
We are reviewing the next stages of support to help businesses that continue to be affected by the restrictions.
The Self-employment Income Support Scheme (SEISS), from the UK Government, which provides support for sole traders, will now run until September 2021.
