Question
What assessment has the Welsh Government made of street homelessness in Cardiff?
Answer
Answered by Minister for Climate Change
We have an established group of Homelessness Prevention Relationship Managers whose role is to work closely with all local authorities. The regular engagement means we can better understand and recognise the scale of the challenges and ensure that every effort is being made to support people off the streets into suitable, safe accommodation.
As part of this we regularly assess homelessness accommodation provision and rough sleeping data submitted by all local authorities, including Cardiff. The data are published monthly here.
