Question
What consideration has the Welsh Government given to reducing the speed limit on the A494 in Pwllglas in the vicinity of the community shop and village hall, which is home to a local nursery?
Answer
Answered by Deputy Minister for Climate Change
The Welsh Government takes the safety of all road users very seriously and routinely reviews the speed limits on the trunk road network, in line with the current guidance, with the aim of identifying the need for improvements to safety including engineering measures or changes to speed limits. Speed limits are set based on a number of criteria including personal injury collisions and level of development adjacent to the road.
We do not have any proposals to change the speed limit on this section of road at the current time.
