Question
What assessments has the Minister made of the changes to Cardiff 's public transport network in Pontcanna, and in particular the introduction of proposed new bus lanes along Penhill Road?
Answer
Answered by Deputy Minister for Climate Change
The Welsh Government is providing £972k of funding towards a bus corridor improvement scheme on the A4119 corridor, including provision of walking and cycling improvements.
The scheme has been assessed as being in line with the priorities set out in Llwybr Newydd - the new Wales Transport Strategy. It will improve the attractiveness of public transport and active travel and will encourage mode shift away from private car use.
