Question
Will the Welsh Government provide an update on commemorative activity planned in Wales to mark the 40th Anniversary of the Falklands War?
Answer
Answered by First Minister (Mark Drakeford)
The Welsh Government is working with key stakeholders to commemorate the 40th Anniversary of the Falklands War. Plans are currently being finalised for a National Commemorative Service involving representatives of the Tri Services, local government, Veteran organisations and the families of those involved. Details of this important event will be publicised once arrangements are finalised.
The Welsh Government is also supporting additional commemorative events across Wales. Working with our Armed Forces Liaison Officers and partners, we will ensure we mark this important occasion.
