Question
What consideration has the Welsh Government given to publishing periodically reviewed compensation valuation tables to support the payment of fair compensation for destroyed TB reactors?
Answer
Answered by Minister for Rural Affairs and North Wales, and Trefnydd
Welsh Government do not use a table valuation system.
The Tuberculosis (Wales) Order 2010 (as amended) sets out the legal basis for establishing the market value of bovine animals. The market value is defined as the price which might reasonably be expected if the animal was for sale on the open market at the time of valuation and was unaffected by TB.
