Question
What discussions has the Welsh Government had with Transport for Wales to speed up engineering improvements for the South Wales Metro on the Pontypridd and Treherbert line to end disruption for Rhondda residents?
Answer
Answered by Deputy Minister for Climate Change
I have regular meetings with the Chair and the Chief Executive Officer of Transport for Wales where I have been clear about our priority to deliver the CVL Transformation Programme quickly and efficiently. I have asked Transport for Wales to accelerate works wherever possible, including integrating contractors to deliver concurrently, and stockpiling resources.
