Question
What assessment has the Welsh Government made of the current status of the new Velindre project following the increasing clinical and financial issues with the project?
Answer
Answered by Minister for Health and Social Services
The Welsh Government keeps the Velindre Cancer Centre project under constant review as it progresses through the procurement process.
The Full Business Case is expected to be formally submitted in late summer and, following the necessary scrutiny of its clinical and financial aspects, Ministers will make a final decision on the scheme.
