Question
What action will the Welsh Government take to ensure that all councils have an action plan for building safety, and not just “very few” as the ‘Cracks in the Foundations’ report by Audit Wales says?
Answer
Answered by Minister for Climate Change
The Wales Audit report ‘Cracks in the Foundations’, was received on 31 July 2023. The report provides a robust evidence base on the effectiveness of local authority building control services. A full response to each recommendation will be provided to Audit Wales within 15 working days of publication of the report. As part of the response process discussions with local authorities are ongoing.
