Question
What consideration has the Welsh Government given to implementing a standardised complaints process across the social housing sector, similar to in England?
Answer
Answered by Cabinet Secretary for Housing, Local Government and Planning
Welsh Government expects all social landlords to have a complaints procedure. The Complaints Standards Authority (CSA), created under the Public Services Ombudsman (Wales) 2019 Act provides a model complaints handling process for all public bodies, including social landlords.
The Public Service Ombudsman for Wales also considers complaints in regard to social housing.
