Question
What discussions has the Welsh Government had with the UK Government about how accessible it is for a person to obtain a gender recognition certificate?
Answer
Answered by Cabinet Secretary for Culture and Social Justice
Officials have met the UK Government to understand the barriers and requested the breakdown of data so we can better understand the statistics relating to Wales. We will be publishing guidance for Trans people applying for identification documents, including GRCs, later this year.
