Question
What is the Welsh Government doing in schools to ensure young people know about creative career options and can be signposted to relevant work experience, and to relevant further and higher education qualification opportunities?
Answer
Answered by Cabinet Secretary for Education
Helping our learners to understand the breadth of educational and career pathways available to them, and how they can relate what they learn in the classroom to their future life and work, is integral to the Curriculum for Wales. This is why we have included additional guidance on Careers and Work-Related Experiences (CWRE) for all schools and settings as part of the curriculum framework. The CWRE Guidance can play an important part in preparing learners for a range of different career pathways including creative careers, by embedding age and developmentally appropriate careers education across various areas of learning and experience.
