Question
Has the Welsh Government looked at potential improvements to community transport links in the Vale of Clwyd?
Answer
Answered by Cabinet Secretary for Transport and North Wales
We provide core funding to support the work of the Community Transport Association (CTA) in Wales. They work closely with local authorities and communities across Wales to support the development of community transport schemes. For example, the CTA are working closely with Denbighshire Dial a Ride to improve the availability of accessible transport for communities in the Vale of Clwyd who are unable to access conventional public transport services.
In 2024/25 we have provided local authorities in north Wales with over £6.15m in Bus Services Support Grant to fund local bus and community transport services.
