Question
How is the Welsh Government supporting GP practices to deal with the increase in minimum wage and national insurance payments?
Answer
Answered by Cabinet Secretary for Health and Social Care
The setting of National Insurance rates and thresholds, and changes to the minimum wage, are responsibilities of the UK Government.
The Welsh Government remains committed to supporting general practice and in recent years, Welsh Government has provided significant funding to enable uplifts to staff pay within general practice.
