Question
Will the Cabinet Secretary provide a breakdown of the number of people working in the Welsh civil service, temporary and permanent, and full-time equivalents, for each financial year starting from 1999, including the last financial year?
Answer
Answered by First Minister (Eluned Morgan)
The historic data held on the Welsh Government workforce size and contract type is limited and it is not possible to provide the requested detail between 1999 and 2010. However, a breakdown of the number of people (headcount), full-time equivalents (FTE) and temporary or permanent staff between March 2010 and March 2025 is attached.
