Question
What consideration has the Welsh Government given to intervening to support the residents of Celestia in Cardiff Bay in their dispute with Barratt Redrow, and does it keep its position under review?
Answer
Answered by Cabinet Secretary for Housing and Local Government
My officials have continued to be closely engaged at the highest level with both parties in the matter of agreeing the works contract to ensure remediation works can commence at the earliest date at Celestia, Cardiff Bay. I am monitoring the situation closely and receiving regular updates on progress. We now understand that an agreement of the works contract is imminent.
The commitment of all those involved, in the interests of all of the residents and leaseholders of Celestia, is recognised and appreciated.
