What representations have the Cabinet Secretary and Welsh Government made to the Leng Review, and will the Welsh Government commit to implementing its findings in Wales?

Welsh Government officials have received regular updates from the Leng Review, and ongoing engagement has been maintained between the UK nations, including monthly calls to provide updates on the progress of the review. We will consider the review’s findings in collaboration with stakeholders in Wales, and, where possible, work towards a joint approach to implementation across the UK nations.
In Wales, a tripartite group led by NHS Wales Employers is developing a framework for the safe and effective deployment of physician associates in Wales.
