Question
Will the Cabinet Secretary confirm how many people have entered into apprenticeships since May 2021 as a result of Welsh Government support?
Answer
Answered by Cabinet Secretary for Transport and North Wales
Latest data published by Medr shows that we have supported 77,385 new apprenticeship starts against the target measure so far during this Senedd term.
Overall, there were 85,415 total apprenticeship opportunities recorded over the same period. This broader measure includes early dropouts – where the learner dropped out of the apprenticeship within the first 8 weeks – and transfers between apprenticeships.
