Question
When does the Government intend to publish the application forms in order for Ysgol Gymraeg Llundain to reapply for the £90,000 Government grant that they lost?
Answer
Answered by Cabinet Secretary for Finance and Welsh Language
Ysgol Gymraeg Llundain will receive the full grant allocation of £90,000 within the current financial year (2025–26). In addition, funding has been agreed for the first five months of the next financial year (2026–27). The grant allocation was communicated to the Chair of Ysgol Gymraeg Llundain in June 2025.
Funding beyond 31 August 2026 will be subject to a grant application process, and officials will provide information about that process to the school’s Board. My officials will continue to work closely with the school over the coming months to support the Welsh language in London.
