Question
How is the Welsh Government assisting those with Postural Tachycardia Syndrome (PoTS) in accessing the necessary support to remain in employment?
Answer
Answered by Cabinet Secretary for Economy, Energy and Planning
We work in social partnership to promote the recruitment, retention and progression of disabled workers and those with progressive or long-term health conditions. We do this by promoting the Social Model of Disability and providing advice to employers on reasonable and workplace adjustments. This advice is available through our Business Wales resources and the services of our Disabled People’s Employment Champions.
The Healthy Working Wales programme delivered by Public Health Wales helps employers create healthier workplaces and supports them to improve the health and wellbeing of their staff including managing sickness absence. In addition, our In-Work Support Service provides training for businesses to help them make improvements in their health and wellbeing practices, guidance and policies.
