Question
What discussions has the Cabinet Secretary had with the UK Government to secure bilingual death certificates?
Answer
Answered by Cabinet Secretary for Health and Social Care
Civil registration is a reserved matter. However, people who inform the registrar of a death in Wales are offered a bilingual appointment and can register in Welsh. Bilingual death certificates are issued by the register office where a death has been registered bilingually in Wales.
