Question
Will the Cabinet Secretary provide an update on waiting times for access to dentistry for children in north Wales, including how many individuals have been waiting 2 years or more for access to orthodontic services since their referral, and what the longest current wait is?
Answer
Answered by Cabinet Secretary for Health and Social Care
The Welsh Government does not hold data on waiting times for access to primary care dental services for children.
The latest data for orthodontics show there was one wait of more than two years in January 2026 for under-18s in Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board.
